XCODX is a free, browser-based coding toolchain: an online editor and IDE, an online compiler that runs 80-plus languages, a framework playground, and this blog. Everything runs in the browser with no install and no sign-up.
Do I need an account to use XCODX?
No. XCODX has no accounts and no login. Your projects are saved locally in your own browser using IndexedDB and local storage, so they stay on your device and are waiting for you when you come back.
Is XCODX free?
Yes. XCODX is free to use and supported by third-party advertising rather than subscriptions, so the editor, compiler, framework playground and blog all stay open to everyone.
Which languages can I run?
The compiler runs more than 80 languages — Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, Rust, Go, Java and many more, including esoteric ones — with standard input, command-line arguments and real program output.
How does code run without a server account?
Your editor and files live in the browser. When you run something, the code is sent to XCODX's execution service, run in a sandbox, and the output is streamed back. Web projects render live at a preview subdomain. Nothing is stored server-side.
