01 What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. “Similar technologies” include things like local storage and IndexedDB, which let a site save data on your device. They can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another company, such as an advertising network), and either session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept for a set time).

The specific advertising cookies depend on the partners serving ads at a given time; their names, durations, and purposes are governed by those providers. Please also read our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.
04 A note on local storage vs. cookies
Most of what XCODX “remembers” is not stored in cookies at all. Your projects and settings are kept in your browser’s local storage and IndexedDB, which are not transmitted to us and are not used to track you. You can clear them at any time through your browser’s settings for this site — doing so will also delete any projects saved locally, so export important work first.
05 Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)
If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent through a consent tool before advertising cookies or identifiers are set. You can accept, reject, or customize your choices, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent and are always active.
06 How to manage or remove cookies
- Consent tool. Where shown, use our cookie/consent settings to change your advertising-cookie choices.
- Browser controls. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site storage. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
- Advertising opt-outs. Opt out of interest-based ads via Your Online Choices (EU), the DAA, and the NAI, and manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

We may update this Cookie Policy as the technologies we use change. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. As the set of advertising partners can change over time, treat the categories above — rather than any single cookie name — as the authoritative description of what we use.
